If you want to talk about being artistic, look to the Sun, the Moon and the Stars. We have been talking in class about how not all artists build something from nothing. By that I mean they not take a piece of clay and mold it or a paint brush and make a masterpiece. Some artists may taken every day common objects such as a toilet or a wheel and a stool (Marcel Duchamp) and turn it into art. One of the points that this makes is that just because you may not be able to draw or mold doesn't meant that you can't be creative which is to me, what art is. The link posted above is a collection of different pieces of creative art that was put together and was entitled "Having fun with the Sun and Moon". Check it out.

So far, if I can take one key point out of my Art and Tech class, is that art doesn't have to be on a piece of canvas or with paint and a brush. That is why I have started to be to appreciate art more and more because art is expressive and can be done in anyway that one wants. It isn't always easy connecting with art but you do, you know it. There is no second guessing that connection. The only part that takes time is finding out how it hits you and why. For me, freedom is something that gets me everything and that is why I think art is growing on me. However not art in the sense of canvas but in the sense of photography and much physical art such as parkour. I hope that this idea makes sense because art has never been very "attractive" as a subject area and maybe it was because I couldn't find the the kind of art or maybe it was because I was never able to connect with it till now; I am not sure. I would honestly love some commentary on this post just because, this is me just trying to find out more about who I am and more about art. If anyone who reads this and has any idea of what I am talking about or has any idea about an artist they think I may like, please let me know.

I was on a favorite site of mine where I always something interesting or funny and came across a link about an artist. This guy has some pretty cool stuff. Check it out. Some them are more simple in the sense that they are not necessarily "mind bending" but some them have a a serious twist which you have to really look at the piece to see.

We have been talking and focusing heavily on sexuality and art in my art and technology class lately. I found this picture on Facebook, posted by Dave Dawson and couldn't help but post it because I couldn't help but laugh. I don't know if this was intentional or not, I honestly don't think it was, but it is just hilarious. It perfectly fits today's world. People are always making sexual jokes and this in my mind is just another one only on a large public scale.
I dare you not to laugh at this, or at least shake your head and smile.
